MEMPHIS HIGH SCHOOL 2007-2008 TEAM PREVIEW
He just knows how to score from all over the court. His midrange jumper maybe the best in the city and he's a ever improving shooter from the 3 line. Joe can easily average over 20 points and have outburst where he goes for 30 plus. Senior Marquette Murrell played the 4 and 5 spots last year but is now on the wing and looks like he has adjusted well. The 6'6 now g/f is a pretty good passer and you know what he brings to the boards but will he be able to provide the points for his team ? Freshmen Andre Hollins and Marvin Williams are very talented players. Williams could be like the other Williams over at Briarcrest(Johnny) but it may take time. Hollins (Boone) has the skill level to be the best player in his class. He can do it all, but he must become comfortable in his role in the starting lineup. Danny Harris, a part time starter, came on at the end of last year providing rebouding and showing a nice touch around the rim. He could be a sleeper type player for colleges looking for rebounding big men.
Some of the bench players could definitely make their presence felt this year. Shooter Harry Green could be player in the mold of last year's 2 guard Jordan Miller. Kaylon Durham can start for a lot teams but will come of the bench and provide leadership and 7 to 10 points a game. Football player Julian Burton may have a chance to start once he returns from football at the point guard position. Jordan Miles looks like he has improved. He may have the most upside of any player on the roster. The Spartans have a nice team but those thinking they want miss Jordan Miller's clutch shooting and scoring may want to think again. They should compete with Ridgeway and Kirby for the top spot in the district but I wouldn't be surprised if they won it.

White Station High Team Preview
A new season begins at what the students at White Station call the white house. Coach Patino comes into the year kind of like Coach Lawson over at Hamilton High School, in really not knowing what kind of team he will have. After losing Deandre Bynum and Jordan Miller to graduatioin and Eric Buggs to Mitchell, the Spartans will look very different on the court. Things change every year at some schools but one thing remains the same and that's Joe Jackson. The 5'11 guard is one of the top 5 offensive guys in the city.
