First game of the day wasn’t much of a game as the Brothers jumped all over City University to win by 25 plus but the last 2 games of the night were great games. Acadiana Prep out of Lousiana found themselves down by 6 going into the 4th quarter, 35-29 after a well executed play that turned into a head scratching miss on an easy opportunity to score to end the quarter. Bolton had started to struggle to find anything resembling a bucket in the 3rd quarter and it carried over into the 4th.
Wave Holiday Classic Day 1
They would eventually go up on a Tremel White tear drop to make the score, 38-37 with 4:12 remaining in the ball game. With Bolton holding for a last second shot, Acadiana decided to foul senior guard Tony Payne but he would hit both to make the score 45-43 with Bolton holding a slim lead. William Nelson, a potential D-1 player was found wide open under the basket by his teammate as he would lay it in to tie the score, 45-45 with 3.2 seconds left. Morgan’s half court shot would hit the back board to send the game into overtime. Acadiana led  by Nelson would score on their first 3 possessions and send Bolton to a loss as they would go on to score only 4 points in the extra period. The Final Score, 58-50. Nelson would lead all scorers with 18.
Kingsbury Vs. Craigmont
If you wanted to see an action packed game, this was it just not if you’re a person trying to write notes and tape and take pictures, wait a minute that’s me venting a little bit. From the start of the game, both teams were off and running but the underdog Kingsbury Falcons wanted the Chiefs to know that would be around taking a 4 point half time lead, 40-36. 6’5 Junior forward Marcus Tarrance was extremely aggressive to start the 3rd scoring 6 of his teams first 8 points but Terrance Durham was there to answer him.
He showed why he maybe the best open court in the city attacking Kingsbury defense finding seams for lay ups. He would score 11 points in the quarter including a rebound put back off a Zach Jones miss jumper to end the quarter. Craigmont turned up the defense forcing Kingsbury into charging calls and taking advantage taking the lead back, 67-64 with 4:59 left. Big turnovers would cause the Falcons missed opportunities as the Chiefs started to catch some breaks. Want to know how things went for the Kingsbury the closing minutes of the game, they would get a lay up plus the foul with 7.7 left in the game but after Coach Stanton implored them to face guard the inbound play, Hurdle just ran and caught the ball and calmly sank 2 free throws for a 79-74 win for Craigmont. Terrance Durham led both teams with 21 points while Jones and Desmond Thompson both had 11. Bobby Jones and Tarrance combined for 38 with both getting 19 points a piece. Don’t look now, but Kingsbury maybe a threat in 16AAA.

There was Mcafee blowing by his defender for a finger roll before his teammate Akeem Anderson’s and 1 to give them a 7 point lead, 68-61. Acadiana would have to chance to cut into a 5 point lead with under 2 minutes thanks to a push in the back call at the line giving them a 1 and 1 situation but they couldn’t hit the first one giving Craigmont the rebound and the win, 74-63.

Mcafee led all scorers with 19 points with Akeem Anderson getting 9 points and 12 rebounds. William Nelson and Tramel White combined for 35 points for Acadiana with Nelson getting 17 rebounds to go with his 17 points. White also had 10 rebounds.
