Warriors Tame Wildcats
by Charles Lawson

From the looks of Booker T. Washington on Tuesday, Mitchell may have to worry. The Warriors came into the highly anticipated match up against neighborhood rivals, Hamilton after some started to question the team after narrowly beating Hillcrest last week.
Hamilton wanted show that the would be a team to watch this year. It to was a match up of Nate Garth versus Tim Ware in Garth's first real test. The Warriors jumped out 8-1 before junior Morris Moten hit two deep threes to make the lead 11-7 with 4:55 left. A lay up by BTW guard Will Street put his team 13-11 before Hamilton senior Denario Robertson hit a 3 to cut the lead to 1, 17-16 with BTW in leading in the first.
Tim 'Ray Ray" Ware
Tim Ware was Tim Ware proving that he's the best point guard in the city. The 5'10 guard did virtually whatever he wanted to do including a great dish to Larry McGaughy and a reverse to tie it 41-41 with Hamilton still hanging around. A hard foul on Pat Lee, sent him to the line making both for a 42-41 lead at the half. BTW began the second half on a 7-0 run on the very disoriented Wildcats. Hamilton shot the ball horribly in the third while BTW went on 19-2 run to give the road team a 59-43 lead. Junior McGaughy went to work in the 4th hitting 3 threes after Hamilton cut the lead to 9. Hamilton was very overmatched losing for their second loss of the season, 86-69. Four BTW players were in double figures with Lee leading with his team with 22. Tim Ware put in 17 points. Robertson had 23 and senior Tony Driver scored 12. After scoring the 24 in his last game, Garth only had 7. Welcome to Memphis basketball Nate.
