6. Adam Weary- Colonial Middle- 5’10
Very versatile guard/forward who reminds a little of Fairley High School forward Derrick Mason. Maybe not the best athlete but he can score the ball with some of the best players in his class and he’s a pretty good shooter from all over the floor.
7. Drake House- Craigmont Middle- 5’10
Guard who shoots the ball well and is pretty aggressive offensively and he will only get better with time.
8. Antonius Cleveland- Wooddale Middle- 5’3
Clever offensive minded point guard who will hurt opposing teams just focusing on Alex Anderson.
9. TeDarrius Hodges- Shadowlawn Middle- 5’8
Classic small forward who can get to rim and rebound well but he must learn to handle the ball better if he wants to be elite.
10. Calvin Chambers- Craigmont Middle- 4’10
Very competitive, slick handling shooter from Craigmont Middle who surprised with his play. It was very hard to put him here but the other players played well also.
11. Darian Prude- Colonial Middle- 5’3
Pretty good set shooter but he must be willing to attack the
basket.
12. William Woodfork- Craigmont Middle- 5’8
Looked pretty good in the drills but I would have liked for him to have been more assertive and seen that good player that he is.

7th graders
1. Rhyan Townes- Appling Farms Middle- 5’6
The fundamentally sound combo guard is a virtually unknown player to the area but let me tell the fans, Townes can definitely play. He’s by far one of the best players in the area and he may be a top 10 type of talent.
2. Matthew Butler-Colonial Middle- 5’8
can be one of the best 7th graders if he works on his ball
handling.

6th graders
1. Anton Beard-Little Rock AR.- 5’6
Smooth two guard that has the skill set to be the best player in his class in Arkansas. Kind of reminds me of former NBA guard Steve Smith.
2. Chris Chiozza- Appling Farms Middle- 5’0
This player from Appling Farms was by far the surprise of the camp. He’s a better than average shooter, pesky defender and makes pretty good decisions with the ball. He will definitely start to get some notice this year.
3. Gilbert Lee- Snowden Middle- 5’2
Was the most determined player at the camp. Lee held his own with some of the best players in the area and he should use this experience to gain confidence.
4. Khalil Jordan- Snowden Middle- 5’0
Much like Lee, Jordan showed some skills during drills. He must work hard, but with his positive attitude, his hard work may payoff.
The following rankings are from the Rising Stars Camp that was held on Saturday. These are just the opinion of 901PrepScoop and staff. The talent was great and any one of the top 5 players there could have been number one.
8th Graders
1. Cameron Golden- Craigmont Middle- 5’10
Golden could start right now as an 8th grader for a lot of high school teams in the area. Stop and pop, great handle, and very unselfish and only 14 years old. Exceptional but could be phenomenal if he continues to work just as hard defensively.
2. Robert Houston- Craigmont Middle- 6’2
Absolutely scary to think how good he could be. Does everything well and he has the potential to be a great defender. If anyone could challenge Cameron for the top spot in the city, it’s Mr. Houston.
3. Alex Anderson- Wooddale Middle- 5’4
One word used to describe Anderson would be buckets. There may not be another scorer like him in middle school. He’s fearless attacking the rim, he shoots the 3 well and is a surprising rebounder for a player 5’4.
4. Chris Jones- Shadowlawn Middle- 5’10
Tremendous scorer, who can hurt you deep or get to them rim and finish. Reminds a little of Treadwell’s Cedric Mcafee, but he maybe a better shooter.
5. Dashawn Watkins- Pulaski Heights Middle- 5’11
Great leaping ability, good ball handler and a pretty good shooter. This kid has all the tools to be a top 10 player in Arkansas.
4th ranked Chris Jones
