Well Represented! November 3rd Playday
Christian Brothers (Pictured above) looked nearly unbeatable before fighting off Tyler Cutter and Siegel in their last game. CBHS went up as much as 12 before Siegel clawed back and even took a 5 point lead with 3 minutes left. The Purple Wave's shooting and big men, Caldwell Starnes and Brad Luckett were too much as they came back and defeated Siegel , 61-57. Craigmont looked pretty good against aforementioned Siegel behind the duo of Terico White and Zach Jones. Even after losing spark plug James Justice and UTEP freshman Gabriel Culley, the Chiefs should not be taken lightly.
While these were only preseason games, the Memphis teams put other teams on notice and proved that this great city will be represented in Mufreesboro.

It was on and popping as a preseason playday was held in Jackson TN at Northeast Middle School and the home of defending 2A and now Triple A Liberty Tech. Four Memphis teams were scheduled to play in the all day scrimmages but with a little turmoil going on with Briarcrest, the Saints were not seen. For Craigmont and Hamilton this was an opportunity to see how their respective teams would fare after losing big parts of their team, while Christian Brothers looked to prove that they are a team to fear.
The new look Wildcats lost 70 percent of their offense with 3 of those players going to Divison 1 colleges and losing Sampson Carter to Ridgeway but don't cry for Coach Lawson just yet. In return, he got Nathen Garth, a top 150 recruit and New Mexico signee. Garth put on a show with great passes and finishing at the rim with either hand. Feshaun Cole and 6'8 Ivan Reilford also played well. They went 3-1 before losing their last game to a solid Liberty Tech team.
