It was simply too much Hamilton as they would go on to win, 80-70 for their first win of the year. Garth was great in his debut scoring 27 points on a night with 3 other Hamilton players in double figures. Denario Robertson had 15 and Relleford notched 14 in his debut. Dorsey and Campbell both had incredible scoring nights with 31 and 25 points respectively. It maybe to early to tell but those predicting the demise of Hamilton may want to think again.

Oakhaven was in the house as a new season began at H.T. Cash Arena. Senior guard Denario Robertson got Hamilton off scoring 6 of Hamilton ’s first 8 points. The Wildcats would go 20-10 before senior Oakhaven guard Edwin Dorsey scored on what would be one of his many buckets making it 29-24 at the 3 minute mark. New Mexico signee Nathen Garth went to work hitting a 3, throwing a lob pass to Ivan Relleford for a dunk then floating a shot in the late. It was all Hamilton in the 1st half as they led 42-24 at the half. Oakhaven’s Michael Campbell was a beast in the second half doing all that he could to keep his team around.
