White Station Wins In Impressive Fashion

The season finale was here, this time for the 9th grade state championship as the girls tipped off at American Way Middle School. The Hamilton Lady Wildcats met up with The Lady Spartans of White Station in a game that was supposed to be competitive, but from the start White Station meant business. Hasina Muhammad scored 6 of her teams first 9 points as they got the early 9-4 advantage.

The Hamilton Lady Wildcats met up with The Lady Spartans of White Station in a game that was supposed to be competitive, but from the start White Station meant business. Hasina Muhammad scored 6 of her teams first 9 points as they got the early 9-4 advantage.
Lady Spartans Win State
Turn over after turn over hurt The Lady Wildcats chances as they got more and more frustrated with White Stations press. Muhammad continued her on slot, hitting a 10 ft jumper and scoring off a steal and connecting on a 3 as The Lady Spartans went up big 27-9 in the second quarter. An 18-4 run by White Station put them up 29-10 going into the third. Shevontae Bright scored on a jumper off the glass giving Hamilton fans something to cheer about however White Station point guard Karen Jaslou hit a 3 for a 20 point White Station lead. A great season by the Hamilton squad but they just didn’t have enough as The Lady Spartans would go on to capture the state championship, 61-31.
Hasian Muhammad was incredible scoring 18 of her 20 points in the 1st half as well her teammate Breanna Ridge with 12 points. Ashley Small also contributed with 10 points for her team. The two high scorers for Hamilton were tied with Dianna Johnson and Victoria White scoring 8 points. Both of these teams futures look bright this maybe a matchup for years to come. Congratulations Lady Spartans.
