Deanna Jeffries’s free throw line jumper would make the score, 30-24 as the Lady Trojans 8-2 run seemed to take a little steam out of St. Benedict’s upset train. Not so fast said senior guard Brittany Taylor who would score on a put back following an and one by Jasmine Newsome to make the score, 35-30 entering the 4th quarter. St. Benedict would get within 3, 35-32 thanks to another score by Taylor but that would be as close as they would get. Turnover after turnover including 5 straight at one point  doomed their chances of a tournament championship.
