Central H.S. Warriors
Central H.S. is unique in that as far as Memphis City Schools go, it is one of the elite schools in the district. But basketball wise it is unique as well. Head Coach AppleWhite and Assistant Coach Lynn have found a way to take a team that has extremely talented underclassmen and throw in a fiery defensive minded senior as the captain. Why is this special? In today's game most players think offense first. But Central has the ability to play from the defensive end of the floor which literally generates their offensive looks. Kimani Shotwell (pictured above) is a selfless player who defers to the younger players, Tim Peete, Maceo Harmon and Tyler Stone on offense but he is the guy that establishes the defensive tone for the team. Central is Unique and that is a fact. They play the right way and that may be the difference in a a trip to state for this group.
