I know what some of you fans are thinking and your probably saying this guy is crazy. This district is so competive that any of the top 3 teams could win it but right now, Kirby is the team to beat. They've proved that they are a team to be reckoned with after beating two previous number one teams in Raleigh Egypt and Ridgeway and they beat White Station after being down by 10. Malcom Burton is playing like a man on a mission and taking over 4th quarters when his team needs him too. The Cougars MVP maybe Curtis Lee. He's relentless on the boards and he gives them a toughness. Chris Price and Mario Bass are really giving Coach Frank nice guard play. Ridgeway suffered their first loss at the hands of Kirby but have bounced back nicely including thrashing White Station at the Spartan Palace, 81-47. Jason Jones and Sampson Carter could be the best tandem in the city and if they get good play from Cordario Macklin and Chris Downey, the Roadrunners maybe heading back to Mufreesboro. White Station's psyche has to be damaged after being beat handedly Friday. Joe Jackson only had 15 points, eleven below his average. The Spartans are a better team than they showed against the Roadrunners. I just hope that the team is not waiting on 6'8 Ferrakhan Hall to be eligible in the post season because that may not happen. Andre Hollins has to be more aggressive offensively to give them another scorer. Woodale could surprise some teams in the district because of their guards. Boo Marshall and Marquis Wilson are two of the best players in the district however they must get something from Jamal Draine who I believe is just as good a prospect in the city as their is. Germantown's a lot better this year and they are being led by Ian Clark and Preston Laird. I have heard great things about Austin Hollins play but I don't know if they have enough talent to pass by Woodale for that 4th spot. The front runners appear to be Kirby and Ridgeway but anything can happen in this district.
